Whisper of Elements

The Elements Trilogy begins with Whisper of Elements and follows sixteen-year-old Victoria "Tori" Kearston, a high school student who discovers she possesses elemental magic after surviving a near-death experience.


As Tori navigates the popular clique at school, best friend drama, and a budding attraction to the new boy who saved her, she's guided by a mysterious mentor who helps her learn to control her newfound powers. But as her abilities grow, so do the family secrets that threaten everything she thought she knew about herself.

Hi! I'm Cathy...

I am a YA Contemporary Supernatural author of the Elements Trilogy. Ever since I was a child, I have been imagining stories and crafting worlds filled with magic and love. I finished my first draft later in life, never give up on your dreams.


I'm passionate about telling inspiring stories with themes that resonate deeply with readers. Whether it's the spark of first love or the magic of spell casting or the wonder of time travel, I strive to create tales that captivate and transport you to other times and places.


I love weaving magical elements into my narratives, and I am a sucker for a good love story.

A little about me:

  • I have two dogs. Both are Welsh corgis. One is a Pembroke (Gareth Bryne) and the other is a Cardigan (Pips) IYKYK
  • I have two cats I rescued
  • I am a huge fan of 80s - 90s hair bands
  • Favorite authors include: Jude Deveraux, Brandon Sanderson, Stephen King, Rebecca Yarros, Sarah J Maas, Sarra Cannon, Claire Fraise
  • I have four tattoos and plan to get a fifth (the scroll and quill pictured below)
  • I started writing the Elements Trilogy a decade before I finished the first draft of the first book. Never give up on your dreams!
